Source: CVE Database V5

Description

WookTeam versions 1.6.6 and earlier contain a remote code execution vulnerability in the project task export interface. The vulnerability arises because a base64-decoded data parameter is passed directly into an eval call within the string2array() function, allowing arbitrary PHP code execution if the decoded string starts with 'array'. This flaw enables attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code remotely.

Technical Analysis

WookTeam v1.6.6 and prior versions have a remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability in the /api/project/task/export endpoint. The 'data' parameter is base64-decoded and passed directly to the string2array() function in app/Module/Base.php, which uses eval("$array = $data;") when the decoded string begins with 'array'. This direct use of eval on attacker-controlled input allows arbitrary PHP code injection and execution, leading to RCE.

Potential Impact

An attacker can remotely execute arbitrary PHP code on the affected system by exploiting this vulnerability, potentially leading to full system compromise depending on the server's configuration and privileges of the web application.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, avoid exposing the vulnerable endpoint or restrict access to trusted users only.
