Users should avoid using affected versions or configure the system to disallow authentication via GET requests if possible. Monitor vendor advisories for updates. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation depends on vendor patch releases or configuration changes.
Description
IBM Security Verify Directory versions 10.0.0 through 10.0.4 and 11.0.0 accept HTTP GET requests for authentication, allowing credentials to be passed as URL parameters. This behavior exposes passwords in browser history and server logs, creating a confidentiality risk.
