Technical Analysis

The WP-Partner WordPress plugin through version 1.2.1 contains a SQL Injection vulnerability (CWE-89) due to improper sanitization and escaping of a parameter used in SQL queries. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to manipulate the SQL query by appending additional queries, which can lead to unauthorized data extraction from the backend database.

Potential Impact

An attacker can exploit this vulnerability without authentication to execute arbitrary SQL commands, potentially leading to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information stored in the database. This compromises the confidentiality of the affected system's data.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, users should consider disabling the WP-Partner plugin or restricting access to vulnerable endpoints to mitigate risk.
