AI-suggested

A patch is available for this vulnerability. Site administrators should update Formidable Forms to a version later than 6.35 where this issue is fixed. Since this is a cloud-hosted plugin service, the vendor manages remediation for the cloud service; however, for self-hosted WordPress instances, manual update is required. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.

Description

Formidable Forms WordPress plugin versions up to 6.35 are vulnerable to arbitrary plugin installation via the 'file_url' parameter due to insufficient URL validation and improper permission checks. Authenticated users with subscriber-level access or higher can exploit this vulnerability if the site uses the free version of the plugin (not Formidable Pro).
