The vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official kernel updates that include the fix. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ipip tunnel implementation causes a memory leak (skb leak) when metadata_dst allocation fails in collect_md mode. This occurs because ipip_tunnel_rcv() returns 0 without freeing the skb, leading to the packet buffer being leaked. Other tunnel drivers properly free the packet in this failure scenario, but ipip does not. Exploiting this requires an ipip or mplsip tunnel in collect_md mode and an atomic allocation failure.
