AI-suggested
A fix is available for this vulnerability. Users should update to patched Linux kernel versions that address this issue. Since this is a kernel-level concurrency fix, applying the official kernel updates from the vendor or distribution is the recommended remediation. No additional mitigations are indicated.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's eCryptfs component was resolved where the function ecryptfs_exorcise_daemon() did not hold the required msg ctx list lock when cleaning the daemon queue. This could lead to race conditions when queued messages are moved back to the free list, potentially causing high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
