A fix has been applied to the Linux kernel to address this vulnerability by correcting the arithmetic and bounds checks in the drm/panthor firmware control interface code. Users should update to a patched kernel version that includes this fix. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation requires applying the official kernel update from the vendor or distribution. Patch status is confirmed by the description stating the vulnerability has been resolved.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/panthor firmware control interface was fixed by correcting bounds checks in panthor_init_cs_iface() and panthor_init_csg_iface(). The issue involved 32-bit arithmetic causing offset wraparound before bounds checks, and incorrect size validation of firmware control interfaces. The fix uses 64-bit arithmetic and proper subtraction-based bounds checks to prevent out-of-bounds access.
