A fix has been implemented in the Linux kernel to expand the curseg evacuation loop to cover all curseg types. Users should apply the updated kernel versions that include this patch to mitigate the issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's f2fs filesystem was fixed by correcting the migration of all current segment (curseg) types during the free_segment_range operation. The original code only migrated persistent curseg types, missing non-persistent in-memory types that still occupy active physical segments. This could cause out-of-bounds I/O attempts on truncated storage ranges during filesystem shrink operations.
