A fix is available that changes the initialization of abort_work to occur once at command submission instead of on each abort. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix. Since this is a kernel-level vulnerability, updating to patched kernel versions is the recommended remediation.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qla2xxx SCSI driver was resolved by changing how the NVMe abort_work is initialized. Previously, INIT_WORK() was called multiple times on the same work_struct during aborts, which could corrupt the workqueue list and cause crashes or looping workers. The fix initializes abort_work only once at command submission, preventing reinitialization issues during repeated aborts.
