A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel source code. Users should apply the official kernel updates that include the patch for this issue. Since this is a kernel-level bug, upgrading to a fixed kernel version is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's qla2xxx SCSI driver causes a resource leak due to improper handling of BSG job completion on a flash image validation error path. The function qla28xx_validate_flash_image() incorrectly returns success unconditionally, preventing proper job completion and leading to a leak of block layer resources until timeout.
