A fix is available for this vulnerability in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official patches or updates provided for the affected Linux kernel versions to ensure the TLBI range is correctly capped. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's KVM on arm64 architecture involving incorrect capping of the TLBI (Translation Lookaside Buffer Invalidation) range has been resolved. The flaw allowed a guest to potentially generate an overflow by specifying a range based on an arbitrary virtual address (VA) without proper architectural limit checks. This could lead to impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The issue is fixed by correctly capping the TLBI range to the architectural limit dictated by the address bits.
