AI-suggested
A fix is available that addresses the NULL pointer dereference by setting the device name directly and removing the faulty device-id lookup. Users should apply the updated Linux kernel versions that include this fix. Since this is a kernel-level issue, updating to patched kernel versions is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iio pressure sensor driver for dps310 causes a NULL pointer dereference during ACPI probe when the device is enumerated via its ACPI HID. This occurs because the ACPI-derived client name does not match the driver's i2c_device_id table, leading to a kernel crash during probe. The issue is fixed by setting the device name directly and removing the faulty device-id lookup.
