A fix is available for this vulnerability. Users should update to patched versions of the Linux kernel that include this correction. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's s390 vfio-ap subsystem was fixed where hot-unplug events were skipped when the last AP adapter or domain was removed. This caused the KVM guest to retain stale hardware access to unplugged AP devices. The issue was due to improper use of bitmap_andnot() return value to decide if the guest APCB needed updating, which failed when the resulting bitmap was empty. The fix replaces this check with bitmap_intersects() to correctly trigger guest APCB updates.
