A fix for this vulnerability is available. Users should apply the official kernel updates that address this issue to prevent infinite boot loops caused by invalid IRQ values in the eisa_irq_edge parameter.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's parisc eisa IRQ parsing code could cause an infinite loop during boot if an invalid IRQ value is passed via the eisa_irq_edge kernel parameter. This occurs because the parsing function does not advance past the invalid entry, repeatedly processing it and causing the kernel to hang during boot. The issue has been fixed by ensuring the parser advances to the next entry or stops parsing when no further entries exist.
