AI-suggested

A fix for this deadlock issue has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a kernel version that includes this fix to prevent the deadlock condition. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official kernel update.

Description

A deadlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Btrfs filesystem defragmentation process has been fixed. The issue occurs when defrag operations reserve delayed allocation (delalloc) space while holding dirty and locked folios and the extent range lock, causing a deadlock during concurrent filesystem stress tests with autodefrag and flushoncommit enabled.
