A fix is available that corrects the packet accounting logic in the mt76 WiFi driver. Users should apply the updated Linux kernel versions that include this patch to resolve the issue.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mt76 WiFi driver caused incorrect accounting of non-AQL packets for MLO stations, leading to potential permanent refusal of the TX scheduler to service a station. This was due to reassignment of the wcid after transmission, causing counters to be updated on the wrong wcid. The issue has been resolved by dropping the reassignment and correctly accounting on the wcid used for transmission.
