A fix is available that modifies nilfs_copy_dirty_pages() to return an error when the filesystem is read-only and limits kernel warnings to one occurrence when writable. Users should apply the official Linux kernel updates that include this fix to prevent kernel BUGs related to this issue.
Description
A bug in the Linux kernel's nilfs2 filesystem component was fixed to prevent a kernel BUG triggered by a dirty state mismatch in nilfs_copy_dirty_pages(). The issue occurs when a dirty page unexpectedly loses its dirty status due to asynchronous clearing after metadata corruption detection and filesystem transition to read-only mode. The fix returns an error if the filesystem is read-only and limits kernel warnings to one occurrence when the filesystem is writable.
