AI-suggested
Upgrade to LaraDashboard version 1.3.0 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigations are specified or required once the update is applied.
Description
LaraDashboard versions 0.9.0 through 1.2.2 contain a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability due to improper sanitization of SVG file content during media uploads. Authenticated users with media.create permission can upload malicious SVG files containing script tags. When these SVG files are viewed inline by any user, including administrators, the embedded JavaScript executes in the dashboard context, potentially leading to session hijacking and administrative account takeover. The issue is fixed in version 1.3.0.
