Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-91774 describes a missing authorization vulnerability in YaoApp yao through version 1.0.0-rc22. The application authenticates users but fails to enforce authorization on the GET /user/teams/:id endpoint. As a result, any authenticated user can supply a team identifier and retrieve complete team records without membership verification. This exposes sensitive information including team name, description, owner details, and configuration settings.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows any authenticated user to access sensitive team data for any team by specifying its identifier, bypassing intended access controls. This could lead to unauthorized disclosure of confidential team information, potentially impacting privacy and operational security.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the affected endpoint where possible or implement additional access control checks at the application or network level.
