Critical
Published: 10/03/2026 (10/03/2026, 09:31:18 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: beaverbuilder
Product: Beaver Builder Page Builder – Drag and Drop Website Builder

Description

The The Beaver Builder Page Builder – Drag and Drop Website Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary shortcode execution in all versions up to, and including, 2.11.0.5. This is due to the software allowing users to execute an action that does not properly validate a value before running do_shortcode. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes. Exploitation requires the target site to have a Beaver Builder page containing the Sidebar module populated with a widget that displays attacker-controllable text, such as the core Recent Comments widget, with comment moderation disabled or the attacker's comment approved.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-92084 is a code injection vulnerability (CWE-94) in the Beaver Builder Page Builder – Drag and Drop Website Builder WordPress plugin. Versions up to and including 2.11.0.5 improperly validate input before executing do_shortcode, enabling unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes. Exploitation requires a Beaver Builder page with a Sidebar module populated by a widget that displays attacker-controlled text, such as the Recent Comments widget with comment moderation disabled or an attacker’s comment approved.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary shortcodes on the affected WordPress site, potentially leading to high confidentiality and integrity impact. This can result in unauthorized code execution within the context of the website, compromising site content and functionality. Availability impact is not indicated.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict or monitor the use of widgets that allow attacker-controlled text in Beaver Builder Sidebar modules, and ensure comment moderation is enabled to prevent attacker-controlled content from being displayed.
