Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: mJob
Product: mJobTime

Description

CVE-2026-9209 is a critical vulnerability in mJobTime up to version 15.7.3.32 that allows unauthenticated attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands with DBA/sysadmin privileges via the Login.aspx admin panel. This flaw enables pre-authentication remote code execution as LocalSystem through a single HTTP request by exploiting endpoints that lack proper server-side authentication and rely only on client-side sessionStorage flags.

Technical Analysis

mJobTime versions up to 15.7.3.32 contain an unauthenticated SQL execution vulnerability in the Login.aspx admin panel handlers. The runQueryButton postback and exportSqlQuery_Server PageMethod execute user-supplied SQL against the Sybase SQL Anywhere database with DBA/sysadmin privileges without enforcing server-side authentication beyond a client-side sessionStorage flag. Attackers can submit arbitrary SQL to invoke dangerous stored procedures like xp_cmdshell and xp_read_file, resulting in pre-authentication remote code execution as LocalSystem via a single HTTP request.

Potential Impact

An attacker can remotely execute arbitrary code on the affected system as the LocalSystem user without any authentication. This allows full system compromise, including executing operating system commands and reading files, due to the ability to invoke high-privilege stored procedures in the database.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict access to the Login.aspx admin panel endpoints and monitor for suspicious activity. Do not rely on client-side sessionStorage flags for authentication enforcement.
