Until a fix is available, avoid reusing or duplicating curl easy handles after a failed FTP wildcard LIST operation, and carefully manage CURLOPT_WRITEDATA and CURLOPT_WRITEFUNCTION settings to prevent type confusion.
Description
CVE-2026-92388 is a use-after-free vulnerability in curl's FTP wildcard LIST operation. When the LIST operation fails, internal state corruption can occur, leading to crashes or memory corruption when handles are reused or duplicated. This can cause heap use-after-free reads or type confusion, potentially leading to application crashes or memory safety issues.
