A fix is available that ensures all software-owned resources are released even if the hardware destroy command fails. Users should apply the updated Linux kernel versions that include this patch to prevent resource leaks and command queue disablement. No additional mitigation steps are indicated beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA erdma driver causes resource leaks when the destroy command fails. Specifically, functions erdma_destroy_qp(), erdma_destroy_cq(), erdma_dereg_mr(), and erdma_destroy_ah() return early on command failure, leaking critical resources such as queue buffers and identifiers. A command timeout disables the command queue permanently, preventing retries and leaving resources unreachable. The fix ensures all software-owned resources are released even if hardware commands fail during teardown.
