A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel versions identified by the fixed commit hashes. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to mitigate the vulnerability. No additional vendor advisory states that no action is required or that the issue is otherwise mitigated.
Description
CVE-2026-92510 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA core, specifically in the ib_destroy_srq_user() function. The flaw arises because the synchronization mechanism for Shared Receive Queues (SRQ) via netlink allows a short window where the SRQ remains accessible after its resources have been freed. This can lead to potential memory corruption or system instability. The issue is fixed by reordering the removal of the SRQ from the resource tracking system to occur before freeing internal resources, ensuring safe lifecycle management.
