Critical
Published: 09/16/2026 (09/16/2026, 21:32:55 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: feast-dev
Product: feast

Description

Feast through 0.66.0 fails to verify JWT token signatures before establishing user identity, allowing attackers to bypass all role-based access control by presenting an unverified token with a hardcoded claim value. Attackers can obtain trusted internal identity and gain unchecked read and write access to all entities, feature views, data sources, and permission policies on the server.

Technical Analysis

Feast versions through 0.66.0 do not verify JWT token signatures before establishing user identity. This allows attackers to bypass all role-based access control by presenting an unverified token containing a hardcoded claim value. Consequently, attackers can impersonate trusted internal identities and gain unrestricted read and write access to all entities, feature views, data sources, and permission policies on the Feast server.

Potential Impact

Attackers exploiting this vulnerability can bypass all role-based access controls and gain full read and write permissions on the Feast server, compromising all entities, feature views, data sources, and permission policies. This represents a critical security breach allowing unauthorized access and modification of sensitive data and configurations.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until an official fix is available, restrict access to the Feast server and monitor for suspicious activity related to JWT token usage.
