Description

ansi2html versions 1.7.0a0 through 1.9.3 have a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the handling of OSC 8 hyperlinks. The vulnerability arises because URL targets are not properly validated or escaped, allowing attackers who control ANSI text input to inject malicious javascript: schemes or manipulate href attributes. This can lead to arbitrary script execution in the context of web pages displaying the converted ANSI output.
