Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-92999 is an information exposure vulnerability (CWE-200) in the Click n Chat (Chat Widget Integration) WordPress plugin. Versions >=1.0.4 and <1.1.3 lack authorization checks on a lead-export handler endpoint. This flaw permits unauthenticated attackers to retrieve all stored contact records, exposing sensitive personal information such as names, emails, and phone numbers.

Potential Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can access and download all captured contact data from the vulnerable plugin, leading to potential privacy violations and data leakage of personally identifiable information (PII). This exposure could facilitate further attacks such as phishing or social engineering.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fixed version 1.1.3 or later should be applied to remediate this vulnerability. Since no patch links are provided in the data, users should verify availability of an official update from the plugin vendor or WordPress plugin repository and upgrade accordingly. Until patched, restrict access to the lead-export functionality or disable the plugin if possible.
