Description
CVE-2026-93042 is a high-severity vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dmaengine dw-edma driver. The flaw involves improper handling of DMA descriptors during termination, where descriptors without callbacks were not properly terminated, potentially leading to use-after-free and memory leaks. This issue was fixed by ensuring all issued and submitted descriptors are moved to a terminated list and completed without scheduling callbacks, preventing late callbacks from accessing freed client state.
