AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version containing the patches identified by the provided commit hashes. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

A flaw in the Linux kernel's drm/msm driver caused improper cleanup of scheduler resources if initialization failed. Specifically, drm_sched_fini() was called even when drm_sched_init() did not complete successfully, leading to teardown of uninitialized scheduler components. This issue was identified by static analysis and fixed by ensuring drm_sched_fini() is only called after successful scheduler initialization.
