A fix is available and has been applied in Linux kernel version 6.5 and related commits. Users should update to Linux kernel version 6.5 or later to remediate this issue.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iwlwifi driver was fixed by correcting the data type of a loop counter in the iwl_fwrt_dump_error_logs function. The counter was originally declared as an 8-bit unsigned integer (u8) while the number of PC entries (num_pc) is a 32-bit unsigned integer (u32). This mismatch could cause the counter to wrap around if the firmware advertises more than 255 PC entries, potentially leading to an infinite loop or out-of-bounds memory reads.
