AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official kernel updates that include the commit 49dc9c1f0c7e or later to prevent packet reprocessing and kernel crashes. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the updated kernel versions.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA/rxe component causes reprocessing of the same packet multiple times after a Queue Pair (QP) enters an error state. This leads to duplicate completions indistinguishable from legitimate receives, potentially corrupting user-space data streams relying on exactly-once delivery. The issue arises from a state machine loop that re-executes the same packet repeatedly until the receive queue is exhausted, eventually causing a kernel NULL pointer dereference crash.
