A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version that includes the patch identified by the listed commit hashes. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA/ipoib module involves improper handling of RCU callbacks during module teardown. Specifically, IPoIB reclamation completions can be signaled inside an RCU callback, leading to a race condition where the module may unload while its code is still executing. This can cause client registration failures and removal of devices with queued callbacks. The issue has been fixed in later versions.
