A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel commits referenced by the fixedVersions hashes. Users should update to a Linux kernel version that includes these fixes to resolve the pm_runtime refcount leak in the ipu7 driver. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ipu7 driver caused a pm_runtime reference count leak in the ipu7_resume() function. The issue occurs when pm_runtime_get_sync() is called before resuming the device, and if the resume fails, the usage count remains incremented without being decremented, leading to a resource leak. The fix replaces pm_runtime_get_sync() with pm_runtime_resume_and_get(), which properly balances the usage count on failure. This change aligns the ipu7 driver's behavior with the ipu6 driver and prevents the leak.
