AI-suggested

This vulnerability has been resolved by adding reference counting to user ring MRs in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official kernel updates that include this fix. Since this is a kernel-level fix, upgrading to patched kernel versions is the recommended remediation. No additional mitigations are indicated beyond applying the fixed kernel versions.

Description

A high-severity vulnerability (CVE-2026-93154) in the Linux kernel's RDMA/irdma subsystem has been addressed by adding reference counting to user ring Memory Regions (MRs). This prevents userspace from deregistering MRs backing QP/CQ/SRQ rings by incrementing the MR's reference count upon association, mitigating potential use-after-free or memory corruption issues.
