A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version containing the patches identified by the provided commit hashes. No additional mitigation is required once the patch is applied.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's crypto driver for rk3288 causes ahash requests to be incorrectly finalized when the HASH engine does not become idle within the expected timeout. The driver ignores the poll result for the HASH idle status and proceeds to read digest registers and finalize the request as successful, even if the engine is not idle. This flaw has been fixed by storing the poll result and returning a timeout error before reading the digest registers if the engine fails to become idle.
