A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users and administrators should update to the patched kernel versions identified by the fixed commit hashes to remediate this issue.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's crypto QAT driver involving the handling of SR-IOV re-enable work has been resolved. The issue occurs when the QAT reset worker queues SR-IOV re-enable work using a work_struct and completion embedded in an on-stack structure. If the completion wait times out, the reset worker may return while the work item is still held or executing, potentially leading to use-after-return conditions. The fix cancels the work on timeout before the stack frame unwinds.
