A fix is available that reworks the locking mechanism in the leds: lp5860 driver to prevent the double-unlock. Users should apply the updated kernel versions that include this fix. No additional mitigation is required beyond updating to a patched kernel version.
Description
A potential double-unlock vulnerability in the Linux kernel's leds: lp5860 driver has been fixed. The issue occurs in lp5860_device_init() when lp5860_init_dt() fails, causing an already unlocked mutex to be unlocked again. This fix reworks the locking mechanism to prevent the double unlock.
