AI-suggested
A fix has been implemented that adds bounds checking to the voltage index lookups in the affected Linux kernel versions. Users should upgrade to patched versions of the linux-aws kernel to remediate this vulnerability. Since the vulnerability is resolved in updated kernel releases, applying these updates is the recommended mitigation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's AMDGPU powerplay driver allows out-of-bounds indexing of voltage lookup tables due to missing bounds checks on voltage indices parsed from VBIOS tables. This flaw has been resolved by adding checks that return an error when indices are out of range.
