A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a kernel version including the fix commits referenced. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Roccat Kone HID driver allows a malicious USB device to supply an out-of-range profile index, causing an out-of-bounds read from a fixed-size array. This flaw was identified through static analysis and confirmed with a kernel unit test. The issue is resolved by rejecting out-of-range indices in the affected code paths.
