This vulnerability has been fixed in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed version containing the patches identified by the commit hashes provided. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official fix.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's batman-adv module allowed non-atomic updates of MAC addresses, potentially causing readers to see partially updated MAC addresses. This could lead to network issues such as ARP cache poisoning. The issue has been fixed by using atomic64_t to ensure atomic updates of the 48-bit MAC address, preventing partial reads.
