Description

CVE-2026-93207 is a critical vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SUNRPC subsystem affecting version 6.3. The flaw involves improper handling of the rpc_gss_wire_cred structure in the svcauth_gss_decode_credbody() function, where early decode failures leave partially decoded credentials mixed with stale data, leading to dangling pointers. This can cause consumers of the credential data to operate on invalid memory. The vulnerability has been fixed by zeroing the rpc_gss_wire_cred structure at function entry to ensure all early returns leave a clean state.
