AI-suggested

A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to a fixed kernel version containing the patch identified by the listed commit hashes. No additional mitigation is required beyond applying the official fix.

Description

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel's media meson vdec driver was fixed. The issue occurs in the vdec_try_fmt_common function when VIDIOC_TRY_FMT is called with an unsupported pixel format on the OUTPUT queue. If MPEG2 support is locally patched out, the fallback to V4L2_PIX_FMT_MPEG2 leads to a NULL pointer dereference. The fix changes the fallback to use the first format in the platform's format array, which is always valid.
