Description
CVE-2026-93237 is a vulnerability in the Linux kernel affecting the LoongArch architecture. It arises because the LoongArch kernel did not define the DIRECT_MAP_PHYSMEM_END constant, causing memory region searches to exceed the valid vmemmap window. This leads to silent corruption of page tables and potential crashes on affected CPUs with fewer physical address bits than expected. The issue has been fixed by defining DIRECT_MAP_PHYSMEM_END appropriately to limit memory mappings within the valid physical address range.
