AI-suggested

The vulnerability is fixed in the Linux kernel by reverting the commit 58b6fcd2ab34. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions identified by commits d48ace65322001b41bb5322442a21425ef4407d4 and 0e7459abff46e28e64367057038ef8607e63f599 to remediate this issue.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ocfs2 filesystem code involved improper use of make_bad_inode() in the ocfs2_read_inode_block_full() function. This function incorrectly reset the inode type to S_IFREG for directory inodes during active VFS lookup, causing confusion and potential kernel bugs. The issue has been fixed by reverting the problematic commit.
