Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Openpanel-dev
Product: openpanel

Description

CVE-2026-93985 is a critical code injection vulnerability in Openpanel-dev's openpanel. It arises from a sandbox escape flaw in the JavaScript webhook template validator, which improperly controls code generation by allowing computed member access to constructor chains. This enables attackers with project write access to execute arbitrary code in the worker process by crafting malicious webhook templates.

Technical Analysis

Openpanel-dev openpanel contains a sandbox escape vulnerability in its JavaScript webhook template validator due to improper control of code generation. Specifically, the validator fails to block computed member access to constructor chains, allowing attackers with project write permissions to use computed property notation to access the Function constructor. This leads to arbitrary code execution within the worker process. The vulnerability is tracked as CVE-2026-93985 and has a CVSS 4.0 score of 9.4, indicating critical severity.

Potential Impact

An attacker with project write access can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the worker process, potentially compromising the integrity and confidentiality of the system running openpanel. This could lead to full control over the affected process and possibly the host environment depending on deployment context.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict project write access to trusted users only and monitor for suspicious webhook template activity.
