Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-94271 describes an improper authentication vulnerability (CWE-287) in the Deema Payment Gateway WordPress plugin through version 1.1.2. The plugin fails to verify the payment status or amount with the payment provider when processing the return from the hosted checkout. Consequently, unauthenticated users can manipulate order status to appear paid without any legitimate payment transaction occurring.

Potential Impact

Orders can be fraudulently marked as paid without any actual payment, potentially leading to financial loss and unauthorized order fulfillment.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, users should consider disabling the plugin or implementing additional verification controls outside the plugin to ensure payment authenticity.
