These scripts execute whenever any user accesses the injected page, potentially leading to session hijacking or other client-side attacks. The vulnerability affects all plugin versions from 0 up to and including 3.3.58.
Potential Impact
An attacker with Contributor-level or higher access can inject malicious scripts that execute in the context of other users viewing the affected pages. This can lead to information disclosure or session hijacking. The vulnerability does not affect availability and requires authentication with specific privileges.
Mitigation Recommendations
Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a patch is available, restrict Contributor-level access to trusted users only and consider disabling or limiting use of the 'not_found' parameter if possible.
