AI-suggested

A fix has been implemented to correct the FDB management logic on the bridge leave path. Users should apply the updated Linux kernel versions containing this fix. Since this is a kernel-level vulnerability, upgrading to patched kernel versions is the recommended remediation.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dpaa2-switch component related to forwarding database (FDB) management on the bridge leave path has been resolved. The issue occurs when multiple bridges have ports from the same DPSW instance, causing improper FDB reuse and leading to multiple ports sharing the same FDB. This flaw was fixed by changing the FDB management logic to correctly handle the last port leaving a bridge before allocating new FDBs.
