AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel. Users should apply the official kernel updates that address this issue. Since this is a kernel-level vulnerability, updating to a patched kernel version is the recommended remediation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's omfs filesystem driver related to improper handling of set_blocksize failures has been resolved. The issue arises because omfs uses buffer_heads, which do not handle block sizes greater than PAGE_SIZE correctly. This can cause a kernel BUG_ON condition during mounting, specifically at the folio_set_bh function on the first __bread_gfp call.
