AI-suggested
A fix for this vulnerability has been implemented in the Linux kernel versions listed as affected. Users should upgrade to patched kernel versions to remediate this issue. Since this is a kernel-level fix, applying the official kernel updates from the vendor or distribution is the recommended mitigation.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's bfs filesystem code related to handling set_blocksize failures has been resolved. The issue arises because bfs uses buffer_heads, which do not properly handle block sizes larger than PAGE_SIZE. This can cause a kernel BUG_ON condition during mounting, specifically at the folio_set_bh function on the first __bread_gfp call.
